Thursday Therapy: Echoing Tuesday’s Transformative Treatment
Thursday mirrored Tuesday’s plan, starting early at 8:00 a.m. with IPT and followed by local hyperthermia. However, I ended up feeling drained and out of it—exhausted but sensing that something remarkable was happening in my body. Healing was in progress! Yay! Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah). Amidst the mix of excitement and anxiousness, I reminded myself of the EFT tapping I’d learned; I tapped my sternum and slowly chanted praise phrases to my Lord.
I then recorded a quick vlog for my Quranic Ocean sisters, sharing reflections from our recently concluded tafsir course (exegesis/commentary of the Quran) on Chapter 29 with my fabulous teacher Samia Mubarak—and had so much to express, despite feeling utterly drained. Outside, the air was fresh and crisp, and the birds seemed to echo “Ameen” with every sound. With each step back to the apartment, I began to regain my strength. For a fleeting moment, I forgot that this protocol wouldn’t be easy, but I quickly braced myself, reminding myself to practice “Sabrun Jameelun” (beautiful patience). Soon, my smile returned, my heart rate steadied, and I made my way to the apartment for a quick bite—my hubby had thoughtfully stocked up on some food from the bistro since I’d missed the lunch opening hours, lol.
After eating and praying, I headed back to the treatment center for a round of HUGO PEMF, which calmed my body, suppported blood flow, leaving me feeling rejuvenated before our next group meeting. Following the meeting, I returned to the apartment to grab dinner with my husband, spent some quality time with him reflecting on my day and treatments, and then changed into comfortable gym clothing. At 20:00, I stepped out for the final session of the day—“Movement for Healing.” My husband graciously walked me to my session, sensing I was still a bit tired.
During this last session, I had an insightful experience learning how energy renewal and depletion impact our health, particularly through our parasympathetic nervous system—a key part of the autonomic nervous system. It was serious food for thought on how to keep myself in check. As I tapped away any residual stress, I left the session feeling deeply motivated. Watching the vlog I made earlier versus the one after this session, it was like seeing two different people emerge—proof that mind over matter, faith, hope, and steadfast belief are what keep me focused and calm.
After a brisk sprint around the pond, paired with some stretches and squats, I walked back to the apartment, ready to fulfill my spiritual obligations on this blessed day of Arafah. The evening was set aside for prayer and worship before I turned in early to rise refreshed for the Eid Al Adha sermon and prayers at a nearby mosque in Kassel—a mere 20-minute drive away.
